why do snow blower engines ,mostly tecumseh , turn over so easy compared to other engines like a briggs lawn mower engine? i am a mechanic and i know that engines need compression and the amount that snowblower engines have seem like it wont run. do they have a compression relase or something?

Yes they do. A lot of other small engines do too. When they hit a certain RPM, the compression release disengages.

Now that you mention it, the information kit that came with my Toro a couple of years ago said there is some kind of weird compression release by the exhaust valve when the motor is pulled over slowly or by hand. You can actually hear the hiss coming out the muffler when you pull the recoil handle slowly.
