What’s the difference between an internal combustion engine used in a car or motorcycle and a jet engine?

a jet engine used in an aircraft? ain’t jet engines internal combustion engine,so is there any difference between a car engine and an aircraft engine?

    they are both internal combustion. the method used to burn are very different. cars use cylinders and pistons to create a small chamber for the fire to take place in. it draws in a small amount of air and fuel and makes a quick little fire to move the piston a short distance, the process has to be repeated over and over to have a usable source of power. the jet engine takes large amounts of air in continually, injects a steady flow of fuel into the fire and compressed flow of air , creating a continual fire and a constant flow of expanding gases out the back to give forward thrust
