I have a Toro 3521 Snow Thrower that I inherited from my grandpa. It works but it’s only 3.5 hp. It’s a 2 stage. I know it’s possible but, would it take any snowblower engine? I saw a couple 7-12 hp engines herehttp://tewarehouse.com/Catalog/Snow-Blower-Engines could any of these work on my 3521

Replacement engines are sometimes a tricky thing, if done improperly. Your engine has a “Model and Type” number to identify it as to the correct engine, crankshaft, carburetor, muffler, etc. You cant just plop any engine in and it work properly. It must be configured to what the engineers spec’ed out when the machine was designed. Match your numbers from the old engine and you won’t have any problems!
