My MTD snowblower which is brand new didn’t start after filling it with gas after it ran out. Any suggestions? I think I might have flooded it. Thanks

It probley has a primer button which you will have to push several times

Maybe you had to use a mix of Oil & Gas? Maybe there is no oil in it.

if you flooded it ….pull spark plug dry off re install an dont flood it this time…

start it without the air filter. it will work. ….Why are you still reading? Go try it :)

If it flooded let it stand for a few minutes. If you never used it before make sure there is not a closed shutoff valve in the fuel line.

After you have checked those items, press the primer a few times and then go through startup.

If you flooded it, you will be able to smell gas. If that’s the case, just let the machine sit for five or ten minutes and try starting it after that. I would guess that your carb just isn’t primed. You did run it completely out of gas, so there’s probably little or no gas in the line from the tank to the carbeurator. Check to see if there’s a priming button on the carb somewhere. If not, you can start it by taking off the air cleaner and squirting **a little bit** of gas directly into the carb.

If it is brand new and you didn’t add oil you might have seized it up.
