Nothing at all. Assuming you have a car with the OBDII emission monitoring system (required for all cars sold new in the US after January 1, 1996) the check engine light will come on if any of those go bad.

If your check engine light is not on then they are fine.

Most shops have a tool that is called a ECM scanner. Normally a shop would charge an hours labor to diagnosis any problems with the sensors. But it really does not take very long to hook up the scanner to the computer and scan for codes or sensors that are out of range. If you have no check engine lite on, then your sensors should be good. But if the lite is on and stays on continuously, then you have what is called a hard code and a sensor needs to be replaced. If the lite comes on and then goes out, this is called a soft code, and it can be a minor repair. let the tech run a scan and diagnosis the problem for you. If you have a problem, most will waive their fees to scan the computer and just charge you for the parts and the labor to replace the part.

    good luck..
