Check engine light on, received a diagnostic check and I am unsure what results mean?

The check engine light came on in our 2001 Toyota Highlander
We took it to AutoZone and had them check it and the gave us these results:

1.Defective or Loose Fuel Cap (not this one, checked it)

2.EVAP canister or hose cracked/not connected

3.Purge or vent solenoid defective

4.Vacuum leak at engine

How serious are these thing?
Can we check them ourselves?
Any quick-fix?

  1. Nick says:

replace your fuel cap, else it wouldnt say the code.
buy a new evap CANISTER OR HOSE
buy a new Purge or Vent Solenoid
go to a mechanic to check for Vacuum Leaks.

    very serious.

always go cheap way first. Try a gas cap, worked for me
